Director of Marketing, The Dial Press (Hybrid)

Responsibilities- Campaign Strategy:
Drive marketing campaigns for a broad list of fiction and nonfiction titles, combining big‑picture planning with hands‑on digital and social execution. - Author & Agent
Collaboration:
Partner with authors and agents to create custom, thoughtful campaigns that highlight each author’s voice and expand the reach of their work. - Brand & Social Leadership:
Shape and manage The Dial Press social channels, focusing on community growth and a clear, distinctive imprint voice. - Stakeholder Alignment:
Build strong working relationships across editorial, publishing, sales, leadership, authors, and agents to align priorities and keep campaigns on track. - Insights & Optimization:
Turn audience insights, market trends, and sales data into actionable strategy, setting clear goals and refining tactics to improve performance.
- Experience:
10–15 years of title marketing experience. - Skills:
Strong strategic thinking and creative campaign development; excellent written and verbal communication, relationship‑building, and presentation skills; outstanding organizational ability with the capacity to prioritize and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. - Proficiencies:
Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva; knowledge of Adobe Workfront and Creative Suite is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $95,000–$110,000 for Director and will be based on level of experience and proven marketing success in the trade publishing industry. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award, subject to company results.
Working ArrangementThis hybrid position has occasional in‑office responsibilities, including but not limited to in‑office meetings, author visits or events, and daily ad hoc administrative projects. Candidates should be able to work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, covering the tri‑state area (NJ, CT & PA).
