The Trade Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of CHANEL Trade Marketing strategy to drive brand elevation, commercial performance, and flawless in‑store execution. This role requires exceptional cross‑functional partnership, rigorous organization, and strong analytical discipline to manage multiple high‑visibility initiatives simultaneously. Working in close alignment with Corporate Brand Marketing, CHANEL License and Sales Partners, the Marketing Manager ensures all programs are strategically conceived, impeccably executed, and benchmarked against business and brand objectives, always in accordance with CHANEL standards.
MAJORDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owns the end‑to‑end planning, execution, and follow‑through of all Trade Marketing initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment with brand priorities and customer expectations.
- Serves as a key cross‑functional integrator, building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to optimize brand visibility and support major collection launches.
- Leads cross‑functional working groups to identify opportunities, align priorities, and drive timely, high‑quality execution.
- Plans, allocates, and manages the North American Trade Marketing budget with a strong ROI mindset, balancing commercial impact and brand image.
- Sources, briefs, and manages global and local vendors to develop permanent installations, custom in‑store and window executions, and event kits.
- Partners directly with CHANEL designers, providing clear commercial and design feedback to ensure concepts are optimized for both brand expression and retail environments.
- Owns shop‑space negotiations with key retailers and customers in partnership with Sales.
- Develops clear, detailed merchandising and execution guidelines for Sales teams and in‑store specialists to ensure consistency and excellence at store level.
- Oversees the creation and deployment of collateral for seasonal in‑store activations.
- Establishes tracking and reporting processes for all Trade Marketing activities, including post‑execution recaps and ROI analysis, and communicates results to Corporate Visual Merchandising and internal stakeholders.
- Rigorous tracking of all expenses to ensure trade marketing budget is properly spent. Reconcile budget on a quarterly basis for key initiatives; share recap with Luxottica HQ.
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years of Trade Marketing management experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships across multiple teams and functions
- Ability to work with highly demanding partners
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with comfort translating data into insights and actions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel approximately 30%
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or Sales
- 5+ years of Trade Marketing experience within luxury, beauty, or premium brands
- Strong understanding of SAP
