Rockstar is recruiting for a VP of Marketing on behalf of our client, a dynamic and innovative company operating in the legal and real estate technology sectors. They are seeking a senior leader to drive their marketing strategy and growth. Our client values strategic vision and executional excellence in building a scalable, high-impact marketing organization.

The Role

This role is for a VP of Marketing to lead the client's marketing organization and define the strategy that drives revenue growth, category positioning, and expansion into new verticals. This is a senior leadership role responsible for setting direction, building and leading a multi-disciplinary marketing team, and partnering closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Rev Ops.

The VP of Marketing owns the end-to-end marketing system: positioning, ABM and demand strategy, pipeline impact, operating cadence, and team scale.

Reporting Line:
Reports to the CRO (interim CRO in the immediate term), operating as a senior partner to Sales, Product, and Customer Success leadership.

Scope & Ownership
  • Full ownership of marketing strategy, budget, org design, and performance outcomes
  • Authority over positioning, messaging, GTM programs, and marketing investment priorities
  • Accountability for marketing's contribution to pipeline, revenue growth, and market expansion
What You'll Own 1. Go-to-Market Strategy & Vertical Expansion

Define and evolve the client's GTM marketing strategy to support revenue goals across core and emerging markets. Lead marketing strategy for entering new verticals, including TAM analysis, buyer personas, messaging, proof points, and launch plans. Partner with Sales and Product to translate vertical strategy into executable GTM plays.

2. Revenue-Driven ABM

Own account tiering, ICP definition, and orchestration of ABM programs for enterprise accounts. Build shared account strategies with Sales, BDRs, and CS that align marketing programs to revenue outcomes. Ensure marketing is measured and operated as a revenue partner, not a lead factory.

3. Positioning, Category Narrative & Brand Stewardship

Own the client's positioning and narrative across the US market and future verticals. Establish and maintain a high bar for brand consistency, credibility, and quality across all external touchpoints. Deliver sales enablement assets including messaging frameworks, battle cards, case studies, and ROI narratives.

4. Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth

Design and oversee a scalable demand engine across outbound support, events, paid channels, content, and partnerships. Ensure clear attribution, experimentation, and performance measurement across the funnel.

5. Marketing Operating Model & Execution

Build a clear operating cadence (planning, metrics, reporting) that creates focus, accountability, and predictability. Partner with Rev Ops to ensure clean data, attribution, and performance visibility across systems.

6. Team Leadership & Scale

Lead and develop a senior marketing leadership team across product marketing, demand generation, field/events, content/communications, and marketing operations. Hire, mentor, and structure the organization to scale with company growth. Manage agency and vendor relationships where appropriate.

What We're Looking For Core Requirements
  • 12+ years of B2B marketing experience, including senior leadership roles at scaling SaaS companies
  • Proven success leading enterprise or ABM-driven GTM marketing with direct revenue accountability
  • Experience launching or expanding into new verticals or markets
  • Strong positioning and messaging skills for legal and real estate buyers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and scale teams, manage budgets, and operate at an executive level
  • Pragmatic, outcomes-driven operator who can balance strategy with execution
Ideal Background
  • Legal tech or real estate tech experience strongly preferred—understanding the unique dynamics of selling to legal buyers (long sales cycles, risk aversion, compliance requirements) and the real estate transaction landscape is highly valuable
  • Vertical SaaS expertise—experience marketing purpose-built solutions to regulated or specialized industries where domain credibility matters
  • Complex B2B buying committees—comfort marketing to technical evaluators, economic buyers, and end users within the same account
