Social Media Content Coordinator
Location: New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan)
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Office
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Social Media Content Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of multiple social media accounts. This role focuses on content creation, scheduling, engagement monitoring, and basic digital marketing support. The position is based in-office in Midtown Manhattan and is suited for candidates interested in building experience in social media, content development, and digital marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Create, schedule, and publish daily social media content across multiple platforms
- Monitor social media channels and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries as appropriate
- Assist with content optimization using tags, keywords, and basic SEO practices
- Manage content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer or similar platforms)
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines
- Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Support the development of blog posts, captions, and basic marketing copy
- Design simple graphics and visual content using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Assist with paid content efforts, including pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns
- Track and report on engagement metrics as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the marketing team
- Relevant field of study in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and Tik Tok
- Basic understanding of content creation, branding, and digital marketing concepts
- Experience with design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Familiarity with Woo Commerce is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to proofread and edit content effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in an office environment
