Summary
The Senior Director, Brand Voice Identity owns and protects the brand's verbal identity across all touchpoints. This leader defines voice architecture, builds storytelling frameworks, and ensures language is elevated, precise, and commercially effective across e-commerce, social, retail, CRM, PR, and special projects. The role leads and mentors a Brand Voice team and partners cross-functionally to translate product strategy into compelling, consistent copy.
Responsibilities- Define and maintain the brand voice architecture, tone systems, messaging hierarchies, and channel-specific language rules.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the Brand Voice team, setting standards for writing quality, editing discipline, and delivery.
- Review, edit, and approve high-visibility copy to ensure clarity, legal soundness, and alignment with brand standards.
- Develop storytelling frameworks for hero products, high jewelry, men’s jewelry, gifting, craftsmanship, and seasonal campaigns.
- Partner with Creative, Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, Product, Social, PR, and Legal to ensure consistent application of voice across campaigns and touchpoints.
- Create repeatable processes for briefs, copy development, editing, approvals, version control, and final delivery.
- 10+ years of experience in copywriting, brand voice, creative strategy, or verbal identity, ideally within luxury, jewelry, fashion, or premium brands.
- Proven experience building and owning a brand voice system across multiple channels and business verticals.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with strong copy judgment.
- Experience leading copy teams and holding writers accountable to high standards, deadlines, and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, or related field.
