Position Summary

General Atlantic is hiring a Social Media Associate to join our New York‑based marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and scale GA’s social media presence at a pivotal moment of growth and brand expansion.

We’re looking for a digitally fluent storyteller and strategic content marketer who can help elevate General Atlantic’s voice across social platforms through thoughtful content, strong editorial judgment, and best‑in‑class execution. The Associate will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of a cohesive social media strategy that strengthens brand visibility, deepens audience engagement, and supports broader marketing and communications objectives.

This role will work closely with teams across Marketing, Communications, and the broader business to bring the firm’s insights, people, and platform to life through compelling, platform‑native storytelling. The ideal candidate combines creativity with operational rigor — someone who can manage workflows, calendars and measurement while also contributing ideas, writing copy, and shaping high‑quality visual and editorial content.

The Associate will help drive both proactive and real‑time social opportunities, translating business priorities, audience insights, and cultural moments into engaging content that reflects the General Atlantic brand and point of view.

  • Collaborate with internal and external creative partners to develop high‑quality visual assets and multimedia content
  • Stay informed on evolving platform capabilities, social trends, and emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled marketing tools, and provide recommendations to improve performance and efficiency
  • Identify timely opportunities for reactive and trend‑based content that aligns with the firm’s positioning and priorities
  • Manage organic and paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, content amplification, and performance optimization
  • Monitor social performance metrics and audience insights to develop actionable recommendations that refine content strategy, optimize campaign effectiveness, and drive audience engagement and brand impact
