Feel Good Foods is hiring our first Head of Brand.
We're a certified gluten-free frozen food brand that makes the comfort food people actually crave (mozzarella sticks, dumplings, French toast sticks) that just happens to be gluten-free. We're one of the fastest-growing brands in frozen: sales are up triple digits YoY, we're launching new products that are jumping to the top of the list, we're in Walmart, Target, Kroger, Whole Foods, Publix and beyond, and we were just named UNFI’s Supplier of the Year.
The retailers know us.
The gluten-free community knows us.
Now we want everyone to know us.
That's where you come in.
The roleThis is the most senior marketing seat at the company, and it's a builder's role. You'll own how Feel Good Foods shows up in the world. The brand is having a moment; your job is to turn that moment into a household name.
You’ll own:- Brand strategy, voice and identity, what we stand for and how we sound everywhere
- Social and digital: our single biggest brand marketing priority: organic, paid, influencer and UGC at scale, with a real calendar of tentpole moments and trend-jacking planned weeks ahead
- Website and email, the owned channels that turn interest into loyalty
- Product launches, the splashy, can't-miss go-to-market moments for our innovation pipeline
- Packaging and portfolio look and feel: brand consistency across a growing lineup
- Retail and shopper brand expression, how we look and win on shelf, alongside our shopper‑marketing partner
- Photo and content shoots, a handful a year, run by you end-to-end
- The team, you'll build it, develop and coach it, and put processes in place so the brand runs like a machine
- A strategic brand leader. You set the vision and build the team to execute it.
- You've built brands in CPG, ideally food & beverage, and know how to take a brand from "the buyers love us" to "everyone's talking about us."
- Someone who isn’t afraid to live in the details. You're as comfortable giving sharp feedback on a single social asset or a package revision as you are setting the annual brand calendar. If your instinct is to brief an agency and let direct reports handle the rounds, this isn't the role.
- You own the creative vision as the custodian of the team's collective input - you shape it and drive it, you don't outsource it.
- You think social-first and digital-first, and you can target the right shopper with the right message (e.g., the gluten-free seeker and the mozzarella-stick lover might be two different ads).
- Equally comfortable zoomed all the way out (annual brand strategy) and all the way in (is this the right hook?).
- Fluent in modern marketing: influencer and UGC at scale, performance and retail media, social-first storytelling.
- Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a passion for working with people across levels and departments.
- Experience with gluten-free, better-for-you, or frozen/snacks
- Experience scaling a founder-led brand into an extended growth period.
- Exposure to retailer-specific marketing (e.g., Kroger Precision Marketing, Walmart Connect, Instacart platform) is a plus but not required.
- Comfort working in a founder-led environment where speed, resourcefulness, and good judgment matter more than process adherence.
- Analytical rigor alongside creative thinking: equally fluent in brand narratives and performance data.
- Remote-friendly, Northeast preferred (a short trip to our NYC office a couple of times a month; travel and lodging covered). Open to in-office (NYC), and open to an exceptional candidate elsewhere.
- Reports to the VP of Strategy & Growth and works closely with our Founder/CEO.
- 1 direct report (Marketing Manager) with opportunity to grow the team further.
Compensation: $175,000–$225,000, plus bonus
