Becoming part of the Village Voice team is a chance to join world class talent and individuals who deliver exceptional results for our readers, advertisers and partners. The Village Voice street team is an extension of the Marketing Department and is a chance to join an outgoing and motivated team who help to promote the Village Voice and our partners at various events throughout New York City.

We're looking for energetic, outgoing people to go to top events in NYC and promote The Village Voice. This position is perfect for students interested in gaining experience in marketing and events. You will be out and about at concerts, film screenings, foodie events, festivals and more.

• confidence in talking to large groups of people about The Village Voice's initiatives
• using an iPad and other tech-savvy tools
• ability to carry 25lbs
• a passion for art, culture and/or nightlife
• some experience in promotions and/or street marketing programs

As the nation's first and largest alternative newsweekly, The Village Voice is the authoritative source on all that New York City has to offer. For over 55 years, the Voice has produced hard-hitting investigative reporting with opinionated arts, culture, music, film, theater and food reviews.

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter with your top 5 favorite places to go in New York City. Must be 21+ and legally qualified to work in the United States. Previous experience in promotional marketing is preferred but not required.
