This is an opportunity to own one of the most strategic growth channels ’ll lead our organic search strategy across both traditional SEO and the emerging world of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), helping ensure customers discover Hover whether they’re searching on Google or asking AI‑powered tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini.
“This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a mature program. You’ll build the roadmap, establish best practices, partner across Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Design, and create an organic growth engine that compounds over time.”
You will contribute by- Owning Hover’s long‑term organic growth strategy across SEO and GEO.
- Building a technical SEO roadmap by identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and partnering with Engineering and our SEO agency to improve site performance.
- Creating and evolving a content strategy aligned to contractor and insurance buyer journeys, ensuring content supports both search visibility and business objectives.
- Developing Hover’s point of view on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), experimenting with how AI‑powered search experiences discover, summarize, and recommend our content.
- Building scalable editorial processes, including content briefs, publishing workflows, and agency management.
- Establishing reporting frameworks that connect organic traffic to qualified leads, pipeline, and business impact.
- Analyzing performance data to identify opportunities, measure results, and continuously improve organic acquisition.
- Influencing cross‑functional partners across Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to prioritize initiatives that improve organic performance.
- Staying ahead of industry trends across search, AI, and content marketing, bringing new ideas and experimentation to the team.
- 4‑6 years of experience in SEO, Growth Marketing, Organic Acquisition, or a related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience leading both technical SEO and content strategy.
- Demonstrated success building or scaling organic acquisition programs—not simply maintaining mature channels.
- Deep understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including crawlability, indexing, site architecture, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience using SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, or similar tools.
- Experience measuring and communicating business impact, connecting organic performance to leads, pipeline, or revenue.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with spreadsheets and marketing analytics tools.
- Excellent written communication and editorial judgment.
- Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Design, and Marketing teams without direct authority.
- Experience with Hub Spot.
- Experience working at a high‑growth B2B SaaS company.
- Experience in vertical SaaS, Prop Tech, Construction Tech, Insur Tech, or other technical B2B markets.
- Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI search, or LLM‑driven discovery.
- Experience managing agencies or freelance content partners.
