We’re looking for a passionate, relationship‑obsessed, data‑driven Manager, Affiliate Marketing to join our award‑winning activations team within Dentsu.
You will work across 1–5 affiliate clients and will oversee much of the execution and daily strategy of their client(s).
Responsibilities- External Relationship Management:
- Build trust and maintain client relationships through soft skills and channel expertise
- Be your client’s main contact, responding to daily client requests and inquiries
- Understand clients’ brands, structure and industry
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Bring well-supported ideas and concepts to the table for high‑level strategy
- Work with Affiliate, Client Service/Planning/Integrated Marketing and Analytics teams, as well as other performance channel teams (Paid Search, SEO, Social) to implement cross‑channel plans
- Understand how the Affiliate channel is a part of a holistic digital performance plan (but also how it differs from other marketing channels)
- Understand campaign goals and work collaboratively to achieve results
- Implement plans and pivot as budgets and goals change
- Build affiliate campaigns, including account setup, network implementation, daily organization, client reporting, daily client and partner communications, and budget management
- Audit and analyze reports, lead optimization efforts to meet campaign goals and performance
- Build revenue and perform to client goals
- Comfortable owning a fair amount of execution and is a self‑starter
- Willing to dig into the tech and data to find solutions and answer questions
- Willing to learn the basics about paid media channels in order to deliver strong cross‑channel collaboration for a holistic, integrated marketing approach
- 3+ years’ experience working in an Affiliate Partnerships marketing role (e.g., specialist, senior associate or manager at performance marketing agency, an affiliate network/partnership network, in‑house at a brand, or affiliate publisher)
- Experience in the "Traditional" Affiliate space, including Affiliate Network management, dynamic commissioning, CPA optimization strategies, partner negotiations (including TM+ bidding), content direct buy activations, and benchmarking/reporting on vertical benchmarks, revenue and ROAS
- An interest in Content, direct buys, creator affiliates and top of funnel tactics as a driver of brand awareness
- Expertise building incremental revenue and quality leads in verticals such as retail, clothing & apparel, fine jewelry, CPG, travel, quick serve restaurants (QSRs) within e‑commerce or digital environments
- Mastery of at least one of the following networks: , Rakuten Affiliate Network (RAN), Partnerize, Ascend by Partnerize (formerly Pepperjam), CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction), AWIN, Partner Stack
- Comfortable working with a variety of different partners in the space on placements/bookings, CPA negotiations, and execution
- Comfortable communicating with clients and team members in a professional, helpful, and measured fashion
- Knowledge of managing complex data and sorting invoicing
- Experience with lead generation, content and syndication partnership marketing
- A genuine love of Affiliate, desire to work at a holding company and alongside an award‑winning Affiliate Partnerships team
