We are seeking a talented journalist to spearhead the expansion of our market-leading asset‑management coverage into infrastructure.
The role involves covering some of the biggest public‑markets asset managers at a hugely exciting time for the sector, with public policies across multiple regions driving growth and innovation and higher interest rates impacting demand and performance across a range of infrastructure strategies.
Responsibilities- Uncover exclusive intelligence on new fund launches, innovations, and growth strategies across asset‑management companies.
- Monitor market dynamics, including which firms are attracting assets, and identify those that are underperforming, exiting, or shifting strategies.
- Track fund performance trends and analyze how managers are evolving fund structures and terms to attract a broader investor base.
- Deliver high‑value, actionable insights to investor relations teams to support market understanding, benchmarking, and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to support ongoing news gathering.
- Produce a consistent pipeline of exclusive news stories as part of a fast‑paced global public‑markets news desk.
- Attend and cover industry events and conferences, including international travel, to develop sources and deepen sector knowledge.
- Successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably with at least two years experience in financial journalism.
- Willingness to work out of our New York or Boston office under a hybrid arrangement.
- Journalism degree or training preferable.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Interest in, and some knowledge of, asset management is preferable.
