About The Job

The Assistant Manager, Tik Tok Shop Merchandising is responsible for owning the end-to-end product catalog, site merchandising, and on-platform shopping experience for ELC's full Tik Tok Shop brand portfolio in North America. This role ensures every product is set up for commercial success on Tik Tok Shop — from launch readiness and listing quality, to optimization, promotional execution, and catalog health.

Beyond execution, this role serves as the in-house merchandising expert for Tik Tok Shop, developing scalable playbooks, identifying optimization opportunities, and translating performance data into recommendations that influence brand and channel strategy. The Assistant Manager partners closely with brand teams, creator and affiliate management, paid media, and channel leadership to ensure the Tik Tok Shop storefront experience reinforces brand priorities and drives measurable GMV growth.

Responsibilities
  • Catalog & Listing Management
  • Own end-to-end product catalog management across the full ELC brand portfolio on Tik Tok Shop, including new item setup, titles, descriptions, imagery, pricing, and inventory mapping
  • Ensure all listings comply with Tik Tok Shop policies, brand standards, and legal/compliance requirements
  • Perform regular validation checks to ensure listing accuracy, functionality, and a consistent shopper experience
  • Set up virtual bundles, promotional assets, and campaign-specific merchandising in support of brand launches, hero franchises, and Tik Tok Shop tentpole moments
  • Partner with brand teams and operations partners to coordinate product onboarding for new brand launches on the channel
  • Site Merchandising & Optimization
  • Own the Tik Tok Shop storefront merchandising experience across brands, including curation of featured products, storefront content, and shoppable surfaces
  • Apply a process‑improvement and optimization mindset — using performance data to prioritize the highest‑impact opportunities and develop brand‑facing recommendations (i.e. SKPP)
  • Lead on‑platform optimization initiatives (e.g., variation strategy, hero SKU visibility, promotional setup) with measurable impact on GMV and conversion
  • Data & Insights
  • Analyze on‑platform performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations for brand and channel leadership
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior brand stakeholders (Brand Marketing, GMs, Digital leads), influencing decisions on assortment, content, and merchandising priorities
  • Partner cross‑functionally with the Manager of Tik Tok Shop Media, Creator & Affiliate Management, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure on‑platform execution is aligned with broader channel and brand strategy
  • Serve as the in‑house Tik Tok Shop merchandising expert, sharing best practices, training peers, and elevating the bar for the broader organization
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of e‑commerce platforms and content management systems.
  • Direct experience with Tik Tok Shop, Amazon, Shopify, or similar digital commerce platform — Tik Tok Shop strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, analytical, collaborative with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to shift from execution to optimization strategy, using analytics to prioritize the highest‑impact opportunities
