Senior Vice President – Healthcare Practice

Fleishman Hillard is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and self‑starting Senior Vice President to join our dynamic and collaborative healthcare practice. We build customized, integrated solutions that deliver meaningful, positive and measurable impact for our clients, addressing their specific challenges and opportunities.

This role leads day‑to‑day client delivery for the healthcare practice, partnering with senior leadership, building key relationships, and executing strategic communications programs. You will manage teams, develop high‑quality written materials, grow business opportunities, and champion diversity and inclusion.

• Play a pivotal role in handling many day‑to‑day activities for the healthcare practice’s account teams, working with senior team members to drive client business and programs.
• Provide client counsel and be responsive with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mentality on internal and external calls, reviewing materials, and developing plans and strategic materials with the team.
• Manage teams across accounts, coordinate resources, mentor staff, and bring agency resources to deliver results.
• Develop and edit high‑quality written materials including client annual plans, creative programs, social strategy, media and stakeholder communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and cultivate diverse teams.
• Identify and create opportunities for incremental business growth within client organizations.
• Manage program plans and budgets for profitability and ensure regular communication to clients and agency management.

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare communications, within an in‑house team or communications agency.
• Pharma and regulated health expertise with a clear understanding of compliant activation across channels.
• Broad understanding of multiple disciplines with a 360 mindset to integrate the right talent.
• Expert oversight over multiple work streams with meticulous attention to detail.
• Solution‑focused with clear counsel and a track record of innovative, excellence‑driving work.
• Strong business acumen and ability to communicate communications value toward core business objectives.
• Client‑focused with talent to develop relationships, trust, and uncover new opportunities.
• Operationally minded, capable of managing staffing, projections, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborative team leader with strong project management, problem‑solving, and deadline management skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and mentor junior account staff and enforce quality control.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including translating clinical data into clear lay language.
• Proficiency with digital media, social platforms, and traditional media within the healthcare environment.
• Experience leading strategic outreach plans to external audiences such as Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, third‑party organizations, healthcare professionals, and media.
• Proven understanding of the healthcare environment and strategic media relations planning.

Salary range: $123,000‑$225,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and other benefits.
