Senior Social Media Video Producer

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution strategy for video and podcast content
• Identify and act on viral opportunities
• Package videos for maximum reach across social media channels, recognizing the subtle differences between platforms and optimizing accordingly
• Craft sharp, compelling, scroll-stopping captions and headlines tailored to each platform (especially X and You Tube)
• Lead on title optimization, thumbnails, and publishing strategy with a strong understanding of CTR, retention, and subscriber growth
• Work closely with video, podcast, and editorial to ensure content is built with distribution and audience engagement in mind from the start

• At least 5+ years in social video, or a clear track record of making content that goes viral
• Strong experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)
• Working knowledge of design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
• Deep understanding of the independent media ecosystem and what kinds of content break through
• Willing to work nights and weekends when the moment calls for it
• A team player—no ego, no “that’s not my job”
• A real go-getter—someone who hates having their hand held as they produce remarkable content
• Have experience and a hunger to use AI tools, learning from them to improve both tactical and strategic choices for the role
