Location: New York

The Site Merchandising Manager is responsible for translating our merchandising and brand strategy into a best‑in‑class digital shopping experience. This highly collaborative, hands‑on role combines merchandising expertise, consumer insight, analytical rigor, and creative storytelling to drive conversion, engagement, and revenue across our ecommerce sites.

Success in this role requires equal parts merchant, marketer, and analyst. The ideal candidate has exceptional product instincts, understands how customers shop online, is comfortable diving into data, and enjoys partnering across Marketing, Creative, Buying, Planning, and Ecommerce Operations to continuously optimize the customer experience.

The Site Merchandising Manager reports to the Ecommerce Site Lead and is based in our Midtown Manhattan office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote).

Responsibilities
  • Own the day‑to‑day merchandising of the ecommerce site, ensuring every customer touchpoint supports business goals and inventory status while delivering an intuitive, inspiring shopping experience.
  • Bring seasonal collections, new product launches, key franchises, and brand campaigns to life through compelling content, merchandising execution.
  • Develop merchandising strategies that maximize conversion, average order value, and revenue through thoughtful product placement, segmentation, assortment presentation, recommendations, and navigation.
  • Continuously evaluate site performance using product, category, traffic, conversion, and customer behavior data to identify opportunities and quickly adapt merchandising strategies.
  • Build actionable insights from analytics, customer behavior, search trends, and competitive analysis to inform merchandising decisions and optimise the digital customer journey.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to align onsite experiences with marketing campaigns and seasonal storytelling, ensuring a cohesive customer journey.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce Operations to ensure products are launched accurately and on time, with best‑in‑class product information, imagery, attributes, inventory visibility, reviews, and site functionality.
  • Own ongoing optimisation of category pages, sorting logic, filters, onsite search, recommendations, cross‑sells, product detail pages, and other merchandising capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of ecommerce merchandising or digital merchandising experience within a Direct‑to‑Consumer or omnichannel retail business.
  • Strong merchandising instincts with a deep understanding of how product presentation influences customer behavior and conversion.
  • Highly analytical with experience using data to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives, and measure results.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Systems curiosity— Enjoys learning new ecommerce tools and leveraging technology to improve merchandising efficiency.
  • Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify and Product Information Management systems such as Salsify strongly preferred.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker, or similar), onsite search and merchandising tools, and A/B testing platforms is a plus.
