Based at the British Consulate-General in New York, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the planning and development of cross-cutting marketing campaigns that champion transatlantic trade and investment. This is a senior, strategically-minded, full-spectrum communications role, covering everything from agency-supported paid media campaigns to highly targeted, low-and-no-cost organic initiatives.
The postholder will act as the dedicated marketing partner to key sector teams, specifically Tech and Creative Media & Sports (CMS), translating complex commercial and trade priorities into integrated, audience-led campaign strategies. They will also lead on the delivery of marketing initiatives for major flagship events across the North American network. Combining commercial impact and creative execution, the Marketing and Campaign Manager will be a confident, resourceful professional equally comfortable managing internal and external relationships and crafting a nimble organic campaign from scratch.
You will report to the Head of Marketing Campaigns (North America) also based in New York.
Roles and responsibilities :- Full-Spectrum Campaign Strategy and Execution

Design and deliver end-to-end integrated marketing strategies for major trade missions, sector events, and cross-cutting campaigns across the USA and Canada. Deploy a balanced mix of paid media, organic social, PR, content marketing, and targeted stakeholder engagement to maximise reach and commercial impact. Requires experience in designing and delivering multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns across paid media, organic social, PR, and email, with a clear focus on commercial outcomes. - Agency and Budget Management

Lead on agreed paid media campaigns and serve as the dedicated point of contact for external media and creative agencies, briefing them effectively and ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and against agreed KPIs. Set clear performance metrics, track campaign analytics, and translate data into actionable insights to optimise future marketing spend and demonstrate return on investment. Requires experience in managing external creative or media-buying agencies, holding them to account on quality, timelines, and budget, while maximising the value of every pound spent. - Low and No-Cost Marketing Innovation: Recognise that impact does not always require a large budget. Design creative, low-and-no-cost campaigns that make full use of DBT's existing digital footprint, partner networks, and earned media opportunities. Work with the wider marcomms team to turn internal research, trade wins, and policy milestones into compelling, shareable content narratives that extend the reach of DBT's work without relying on paid promotion.
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of organic activity and share learnings with the wider team to raise the standard of low-cost delivery across the network. Requires the ability to deliver high-impact campaigns through strategic partnerships, organic social strategy, earned media, and creative content, without reliance on significant paid budgets. - Measurement and evaluation: Define clear KPIs at the outset of every campaign and use analytics tools to monitor performance in real time, ensuring activity remains on track to deliver against commercial and communications objectives. Translate data into concise, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and use evaluation findings to continuously optimise live campaigns and improve future planning. Requires experience setting meaningful metrics beyond vanity measures, with confidence using digital analytics platforms to assess impact and make evidence-based decisions.
