About the Team
Our Advertising & Promotions team operates at the intersection of e‑commerce and advertising, surfacing and monetizing relevant content that benefits our core audiences. We provide digital solutions to help advertisers reach Door Dash audiences. The strategy & operations team is responsible for managing the product and go‑to‑market strategy for our ads & promotions products.
About the RoleAs the Director, Restaurant Ads & Promos – Strategy & Operations, SMB Growth, you will lead a team responsible for setting the strategy, vision and go‑to‑market for our ads and promotions offering across our SMB restaurant business. You’ll work cross‑functionally with the ad sales team, product, marketing, analytics and finance.

- You have experience building and scaling products and businesses; digital advertising experience preferred.
- You are a proven leader and collaborator and have built, developed and managed high growth teams across an organization.
- You have a proven track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast‑moving environment.
- You are comfortable leveraging data and insights to prioritize the strategy; experience owning a P&L preferred.
- You have 12+ years of experience in consulting, strategy & operations, business development or operations with direct management experience; high growth startup experience preferred.
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. The starting pay range is $197,200 – $290,000 USD.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

Paid time off:
Salaried roles—flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. Hourly roles—vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week;
about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
