Job DescriptionAs Editorial Director, you are a strategic leader within our organization who will help shape how Critical Mass communicates its vision, work, and value to the market. You'll work across the business development and marketing functions, responsible for crafting the written communications for pitch narratives, case studies, thought leadership and marketing materials. You'll interface directly with senior leadership on critical messaging and strategic communications initiatives, while also representing the agency to clients and prospective partners.

Your core responsibilities include owning, building and maintaining our case study library and writing persuasive responses to RFI/RFPs and pitch presentations. You are a skilled writer, communicator, and natural storyteller who thrives on crafting compelling narratives and case studies that bring our agency s vision and work to life. You understand emerging technologies and digital innovation, and can explain them in clear, compelling ways.

You'll collaborate with internal teams – from creative, strategy and account to technology and project management – ensuring messaging is aligned and compelling at every touchpoint. You ll copyedit and proofread a range of materials, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and brand voice.

As a people leader, you will mentor and develop junior editors and marketing communications professionals, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers within Critical Mass. You will present your ideas confidently to senior leadership and clients, inspire your team members, and uphold our values of being honest, inspired, driven, passionate, and real in everything you do.

You WillDemonstrate exceptional writing, editing, proofing, and narrative skills.

Craft winning RFI/RFP responses and develop detailed case studies.

Manage thought leadership and editorial content for marketing purposes.

Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organizational skills.

Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.

Partner with all agency departments to tackle projects and drive initiatives forward.

Lead and mentor junior editors and marketing communications professionals, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.

Interface with senior leadership on strategic communications matters.

Represent the agency s brand and communications vision to clients and prospective partners.

Promote a culture of excellence and accountability.

You Have8+ years of copy editing and writing experience within business development and/or marketing, with at least 2 years in a director-level role.

Exceptional understanding of how copy and narrative can influence new business and marketing.

Experience communicating with C-suite executives and clients at senior levels.

Demonstrated experience managing and developing team members, with a track record of helping junior talent advance their careers.

Proven aptitude for quick thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.

A keen enthusiasm for understanding trends and technologies.

Effective and creative problem-solving skills.

New York: $140,000-$160,000

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
