Job Summary:
The Integrated Brand Strategist is responsible for the fluidity and efficient execution of all account maintenance tasks in coordination with the Integrated Brand Supervisor, ensuring that all campaign and administrative items are communicated to the appropriate teams and partner agencies in a timely manner. The role is also a key player in the activation of digital media, planning and executing all digital media through the integrated strategy function.
The Strategist oversees delivery of campaign materials—media authorizations, insertion orders, schedules, insertion reports, and creative elements—to clients and internal teams. They participate in brainstorming sessions, status meetings, client plan presentations and aid in the development of plan recommendation decks with insights on client businesses, competitive landscape and marketplace analysis. The position requires teamwork in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment, requiring resourcefulness, accountability, independence, and initiative.
- Strategic Planning (30%):
Manage day‑to‑day media plan development, budgetary analysis, buy maintenance and implementation of campaigns, and collaborate closely with activation teams to ensure smooth execution. Use Horizon’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, eMarketer, Forrester) to analyse competitive landscapes, target consumption support, plan development and reporting. - Client Relations (20%):
Build and foster open communication with clients and media partners, serving as a key HMI contact. Conduct weekly internal and client status reports, alert management to any problems or delays, and assemble and assess media reports to inform future planning and recommendations. - Stewardship (25%):
Remain current on the status of media assignments and executions, manage daily tasks, and generate post‑campaign analysis and competitive reports to support future strategies. - Media Activation (25%):
- Participate and lead team brainstorming sessions for digital media plan and consideration set development.
- Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid social media environments and apply that knowledge appropriately.
- Investigate cross‑channel opportunities, incorporating mobile and social extensions.
- Create and present media‑specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategy decks.
- Coordinate review of RFP submissions, maximize social media integrations, lead partner negotiations and drive RFP review processes.
- Execute and manage campaign execution and management, including set‑up of creative and tracking tags, third‑party servers, and quality assurance of tracking and creative units.
- Produce post‑launch information (screenshots, links, placement details) to demonstrate proof of placement for clients.
- Enter and manage plans in billing systems, track insertion orders, develop creative specifications, handle traffic sheets and generate insertion orders within internal systems.
- Maintain plan records, insertion orders, contact lists, spec documents and TI sheets.
- Monitor, manage and optimise self‑service paid social activation across Facebook, Twitter and other relevant platforms, including buy set‑up and targeting selections.
- Manage day‑to‑day communication with vendors, partner agencies, creative media and social clients.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of planning experience; multiple media channels preferred, with a focus on digital and social.
- Solid understanding of media math, terminology and analytical tools (MRI, Nielsen, Scarborough).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, problem‑solving mentality.
- Professional demeanor and strong client relationship management experience.
- Experience developing and presenting plan presentations.
- Experience with competitive intelligence and media delivery tools.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Some AI literacy is ideal.

Salary Range$1,275 to $1,538.46 per week. The actual weekly or hourly rate may vary depending on skill sets, experience, training, licensure/certifications and equity.
