Marketing Manager, VOLUME 0

VOLUME 0 is a literary magazine focused on the new lit scene. We publish short fiction by indie authors unafraid to break the mold. We’re a lean team of 3 editors, and are looking for a Marketing Manager to help lead marketing and business development efforts. We are looking for a hands‑on person that can execute at a granular level.

• Build a subscriber funnel and online presence to build the business
• Manage and align the following elements:
  • Website
  • Email program
  • Social media
  • Paid ads
  • Measure and report on performance drawing insights and translating into actionable next steps
• Onboard, coordinate and work with freelancers and other contributors
• Potentially participate in or lead:
  • Ad sales and sponsor ships
  • Collaborations and partnerships

• 4+ years of experience in customer acquisition, brand marketing, creative direction, or social media at a consumer or lifestyle brand.
• Experience building an enrollment funnel for a content/media/consumer brand.
• Interest in and knowledge of the indie literary and magazine businesses.
• You push boundaries and take creative risks with your ideas.
• You are scrappy, hands‑on, and hard working
• Ability to perform analysis and do math.
• You are looking for an in‑office job.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000
