Role Overview

The Manager, Awards, Events & Industry Relations is responsible for managing and executing awards campaigns, industry events, festivals, screenings, premieres, talent activations, and gifting initiatives across Brit Box and BBC Select. Reporting to the Director of Publicity, this role serves as the primary day-to-day owner of awards and industry-facing activities, ensuring campaigns, events, submissions, calendars, and relationships are managed strategically, efficiently, and consistently.

This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can balance long-term planning with hands-on execution while working across multiple stakeholders, vendors, talent representatives, producers, awards organizations, festival contacts, and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities Awards & Industry Campaigns
  • Manage awards campaigns across Brit Box and BBC Select titles, including submissions, timelines, materials, and (internal / external) stakeholder coordination.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for awards bodies, including the Emmys, Golden Globes, International Emmys, Peabody Awards, Critics Choice, and others.
  • Maintain awards calendars, trackers, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and submission processes across multiple titles.
  • Coordinate awards-related communications and outreach with producers, talent representatives, and publicity teams.
  • Partner with creative and production teams to gather and deliver materials required for awards submissions and campaigns.
  • Track awards budgets, expenditures, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure awards activity is aligned with broader publicity, talent, and platform priorities.
Events, Festivals & Industry Relations
  • Manage festival submissions and participation opportunities, including coordination with key festival contacts and programmers.
  • Plan and execute screenings, premieres, receptions, talent dinners, and industry-facing events.
  • Support talent appearances and event logistics in partnership with publicity teams, producers, and talent representatives.
  • Manage event vendors, venues, hotels, and production partners.
  • Develop and maintain guest lists and audience targeting strategies for events and screenings.
  • Coordinate event materials, assets, invitations, RSVPs, briefing documents, and on-site execution.
  • Support the Director of Publicity and wider team in identifying high-value industry opportunities tied to Brit Box, BBC Select, and broader DTC priorities.
Talent Engagement & Gifting
  • Manage gifting initiatives for talent, producers, and strategic partners.
  • Maintain gifting calendars, trackers, and databases.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen talent, producer, and industry relationships through thoughtful engagement.
  • Track key relationship moments, including birthdays, awards nominations, series premieres, major career milestones, and other high-value touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the publicity team to ensure gifting and talent engagement align with broader campaign and relationship priorities.
Industry Relations & Ecosystem Management
  • Build and maintain a centralized database of key industry contacts, including festival programmers, awards organizations, guilds, producers, talent representatives, and strategic partners.
