Account Director, Financial Services & Corporate Communications

A leading strategic communications agency is seeking an Account Director to join its growing Financial Services and Corporate Communications practice. This opportunity is ideal for a communications professional who enjoys helping organizations navigate complex industries, build credibility with key stakeholders, and tell compelling stories in rapidly evolving markets. The agency works with a diverse portfolio of clients spanning financial services, professional services, fintech, asset management, banking, insurance, and broader corporate sectors.

• Lead strategic communications programs across multiple client accounts
• Serve as a senior advisor to client stakeholders and executive leadership teams
• Develop and execute media relations, thought leadership, and reputation-building initiatives
• Create compelling messaging and narratives around complex business topics
• Build and maintain relationships with business, financial, and trade media
• Oversee account teams and support professional development of junior staff
• Identify opportunities for client growth and contribute to new business initiatives
• Monitor industry trends and develop proactive communications strategies

• 6-10+ years of public relations, corporate communications, or strategic communications experience
• Experience in financial services, fintech, professional services, corporate communications, public affairs, or related sectors
• Strong media relations capabilities and strategic communications expertise
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead account teams
• Excellent writing, presentation, and storytelling skills
• Agency experience preferred
