What You Will Learn

L'Oréal USA is seeking a highly creative and strategic Director of Content & Media Partnerships to join the Corporate Brand & Engagement team within Corporate Affairs & Engagement (CA&E). Reporting to the Head of US Corporate Brand & Engagement, this role will create owned and paid content that shapes how L'Oréal Groupe is positioned in the US market.

A multifaceted communicator, the Director will combine strong corporate brand positioning instincts with an understanding of the evolving US media landscape to identify the right stories, partners, and channels to create high-impact content that advances the Groupe's reputation and corporate brand objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities

This role is best suited for an exceptional storyteller and relationship builder who understands how to translate complex corporate topics into engaging content. The ideal candidate brings equal strength in strategic thinking, editorial judgment, relationship management, content production and fluency in paid media partnerships—and can represent L'Oréal with confidence and credibility in creative and external settings.

Corporate Narrative & Story Identification
  • In partnership with the Head of Corporate Brand, identify and develop high-potential corporate stories that strengthen understanding of L'Oréal Groupe, its purpose, expertise, impact, and leadership in beauty.
  • Translate complex business, innovation, culture and sustainability topics into clear, compelling, audience-first narratives.
Impactful Owned & Paid Content
  • Establish clear creative briefs that define the audience, strategic objectives, narrative and performance expectations for each initiative.
  • Lead the development of premium content, custom publisher partnerships, social-first storytelling and other content formats that drive meaningful audience engagement.
  • Maintain a strong pulse on emerging formats, publisher offerings, creator ecosystems, platform innovation, and cultural trends to identify opportunities for L'Oréal Groupe to lead - not follow - the conversation.
Media Partnerships & External Relationship Management
  • Build and manage a strategic ecosystem of media, publishing, platform, creator, and content-production partners that can help L'Oréal Groupe tell its stories with scale, credibility, and cultural relevance.
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for key external partners, representing L'Oréal with polish, sound judgment and a clear point of view.
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities based on strategic fit, audience quality, brand safety, creative potential, measurement capability, and anticipated return on investment.
Collaborative Internal Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a central connector across internal teams to align corporate story development, communications priorities, content strategy, and paid amplification.
  • Work in close proximity to other members of the Corporate Affairs & Engagement team to ensure our content efforts support other internal priorities.
  • Create clear, inspiring presentations and recommendations that align senior stakeholders around a shared point of view and path to action.
