With a broad and commercially driven product portfolio, they maintain strong relationships with buyers at the nation's leading retail chains and have built a reputation for delivering trend‑right product at compelling value. This is a company that operates with the speed and agility required in the off‑price market - and they need a sales leader who can match that energy.
Our Client is seeking a driven, product‑minded Brand Manager to join our License Brand Division and take ownership of licensed brand line planning, product development direction, and go‑to‑market execution. This mid‑level role is responsible for building commercially strong line plans across licensed product categories, managing partner relationships, and ensuring every consumer touchpoint reflects the brand. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of experience in home textiles, home décor, soft goods, or a related consumer products category, with hands‑on involvement in product development, line building, or category management.
A design team supports this role; what we need is someone who thinks in assortments, understands the retail calendar, and knows how to build a line that wins at wholesale and retail.
- Own the brand line plan for each licensed property, building and maintaining a structured assortment strategy that aligns with brand positioning, retail channel requirements, and seasonal sell‑in calendars
- Lead product development kickoff meetings at the start of each season or development cycle, aligning cross‑functional teams on line plans, item counts, category mix, key price points, and delivery milestones
- Proactively track progress across product development, sourcing, and creative work streams; identify bottlenecks early and drive resolution to protect launch and delivery dates
- Maintain a master development and retail calendar spanning all active licensed brands, tracking product development stages, sample review, approval milestones, and trade show or sell‑in deadlines
- Hold product development, sourcing, and creative teams accountable to agreed timelines; elevate delays and facilitate solutions to protect retail floor set and sell‑in windows
- Drive line plan development for each licensed brand, making key decisions on category mix, item architecture, fabric and construction direction, colorways, and price ladder - partnering closely with the design team who executes the creative
- Serve as the connective hub between sales, product development, sourcing, creative, and licensing partners - synthesizing input from all sides to keep line plans commercially viable, on‑brand, and on‑calendar.
- Translate brand strategy and licensing partner guidelines into clear product briefs that give the design and development team the direction they need to execute effectively - covering category intent, end‑use, target retail channel, and key product attributes
- Partner with the creative team to present line plans and product assortments to licensing partners for approval, ensuring submissions meet brand standards and licensor requirements on time
- Build productive relationships with licensees and retail partners to support brand‑forward product execution, managing feedback loops between licensor direction and Company’s commercial needs
- Track licensing and brand trends across relevant product categories to keep company competitive, current, and well‑positioned in the market
- Partner with sales and product development teams to synthesize market and consumer insights into actionable brand and line planning direction
- Conduct regular competitive analyses and share findings with leadership and cross‑functional teams to inform strategic decisions
