About the Role
Within Marketing at GEICO — a team in the middle of a significant transformation — social is where the brand shows up every day, in real time, in front of millions of people. Getting this right is a real competitive advantage and a must-do. You'll own the day-to-day stewardship of every brand social account — what publishes, when, and how it's tagged.
You'll run point on collab and tagging mechanics across partner and creator content, and keep GEICO's talent and IP usage rights airtight so nothing goes out that creates risk down the line. And most critically - you'll act as the social newsroom director: monitoring what's happening in real time, and sourcing the content — from creators, partnerships, agencies, UGC, and internal teams — that gives GEICO the best shot at showing up in the conversation, not just adjacent to it.
This role rewards someone who's comfortable being the last line of defense on what goes live, and fast enough to seize a real-time moment before it passes. You'll have real room to shape how GEICO's social newsroom operates — the sourcing, the sign-off process, the judgment calls — not just execute someone else's playbook.
