About the Team

The Strategy & Operations team at Door Dash is the driving force behind the In-Store business line's long-term growth and operational excellence. We work cross-functionally to develop and execute key initiatives that align with In-Store's strategic goals, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and optimal performance across the organization. Our team is focused on leveraging data-driven insights, improving processes, and guiding business decisions that enhance customer experience and foster company-wide innovation.

About

the Role

Door Dash is looking for an Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations to own our Marketing product portfolio and serve as the critical bridge between Product, GTM, and our merchants for the In-Store business (inclusive of Seven Rooms). In this highly visible, high-impact role, you will own a portfolio of marketing SKUs end-to-end—Email Marketing, Text (SMS) Marketing, and Whats App Marketing—across their full lifecycle, from early-stage MVP testing and Sales Pilots through full-scale global Go-To-Market (GTM) launches and ongoing growth and optimization.

You will act as the ultimate "train conductor" for these initiatives, bringing cross-functional teams together to drive complex projects and larger work streams across the finish line with minimal guidance. This requires managing every facet of commercialization, including coordinating legal terms, establishing product naming conventions, drafting FAQs, defining sales positioning, and driving pricing and packaging strategies. Because you own a portfolio rather than a single launch, you will also begin to diagnose and define net-new product and business opportunities for the team-sizing markets, running deep competitive research, and translating global nuances for regional success.

You will champion project creation and execution, dive deep into data, and build consensus with cross-functional partners and setting the methods and procedures others follow.

The Ideal Candidate

A structured "first-principles" thinker who has a bias for action, thrives in ambiguity, and is obsessed with using data to drive results and achieve our goal of sustainable revenue growth. You are an autonomous owner who can build consensus, synthesize complex data, and navigate both 0-to-1 launches and the scaling of an established product portfolio in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end Marketing Product Portfolio: strategy and commercialization of marketing SKUs (Email, Text/SMS, and Whats App Marketing) globally. Manage MVP definition, legal terms, FAQs, sales pitching, and pricing & packaging; drive adoption, attach rate, and revenue growth post-launch.
  • Diagnose & Define Net-New Opportunities: identify where the portfolio should evolve, build business cases for new products/features/channels, and define initiatives before hand-off.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: act as the strategic "train conductor" across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Legal; gather requirements, manage timelines, and drive initiatives without direct authority; set success metrics and assign DRIs; remove or escalate roadblocks.
  • Marketing Channel Strategy & Domain Depth: develop fluency in email and SMS deliverability, consent and compliance (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, Whats App Business Platform / Meta policies), segmentation, CRM, and engagement-to-conversion economics to inform pricing and roadmaps.
  • Market & Competitive Strategy: size opportunities and conduct competitive research, benchmarking against platforms and hospitality-tech players; analyze customer segments and closed-lost deals to refine global vs. local strategies.
  • Data-Driven Insights: analyze product adoption and channel performance; build dashboards, KPIs, and reports to translate data into recommendations.
  • Executive Visibility & Alignment: translate ambiguous scopes into structured plans and communicate updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Risk Management:

anticipate and proactively manage risks across initiatives.
