About the Role

Max Mara is seeking a VIP & Public Relations Manager to join our Communications team in New York. This role will be instrumental in elevating the brand’s visibility across North America through strategic VIP, celebrity, influencer, and event dressing initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly connected within the fashion, entertainment, and media landscape, with strong relationships across VIP stylists, agents, influencers, and their teams. This is a dynamic, highly collaborative role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong eye for detail, organization, and brand positioning.

What You’ll Do

VIP & Celebrity Relations

• Support the development and execution of Max Mara’s North American VIP and celebrity strategy to increase brand visibility and exposure.
• Oversee VIP and celebrity sample requests under the direction of the Director of Communications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP stylists, agents, and their teams.
• Proactively pitch stylists for VIP placement opportunities aligned with the brand and upcoming events calendar.
• Coordinate the timely return of VIP samples from fittings and special projects while maintaining accurate, organized sample inventory.
• Partner closely with store teams to facilitate VIP consignments and special requests.
• Communicate VIP dressing moments to U.S. and HQ teams and coordinate top-tier media communications to maximize press opportunities.
• Prepare monthly VIP communications updates.
• Maintain VIP gifting charts and support the execution of gifting initiatives.
• Keep HQ VIP sample trafficking charts accurate and up to date.

Influencer Relations

• Support the development and execution of Max Mara’s North American influencer strategy.
• Oversee influencer dressing requests and gifting initiatives throughout the year and in connection with special events.
• Build and nurture relationships with influencers and their teams.
• Manage travel logistics for influencers attending Max Mara brand events, trips, and activations.
• Monitor and track organic and paid/partnered influencer content across social platforms.
• Track social media coverage of Max Mara brands and identify potential new influencer partnership opportunities.

Events & VIP Dressing

• Oversee VIP and celebrity dressing for Max Mara image and retail events.
• Partner closely with the Events team to ensure honored guests and special guests are appropriately outfitted in the brand.
• Coordinate VIP dressing logistics, including transportation, hair and makeup, gifting, and other guest needs on a case-by-case basis.
• Maintain accurate VIP dressing charts for events and fashion shows and share updates with relevant internal teams.

What You Bring

• Experience in VIP relations, celebrity dressing, influencer relations, public relations, fashion communications, or a related field.
• Strong existing relationships with VIP stylists, agents, influencers, and/or entertainment and fashion industry contacts.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and represent the brand with professionalism and discretion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point .
• Strong understanding of the luxury fashion, celebrity, influencer, and media landscape.
