Ready to do great work—and love your job while you’re doing it?

LKPR is looking for an exceptional publicist, strong writer and natural relationship builder who is ready to lead day-to-day client work and grow into a broader communications leader.

We’re a hands-on public relations and marketing agency rooted in PR but built for the full 360-degree brand picture. Our clients range from leading consumer, toy, entertainment, media and pop culture brands, to innovative healthcare and technology companies.

At LKPR, you won’t be confined to one client, one media beat or one narrow piece of an account. You’ll develop strategy, earn meaningful coverage, create standout content, plan memorable events, solve client challenges and help bring integrated marketing ideas to life. You’ll work closely with agency leadership, guide junior team members and have a visible impact on our clients—and our agency.

Your ideas are important and will be heard.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop smart, creative media strategies, story angles and target lists that support client goals.
  • Independently pitch consumer, trade and business media, generating consistent, high-impact coverage across multiple accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, producers, creators and other influential voices.
  • Stay immersed in the news, emerging trends, pop culture and client industries so you can identify opportunities before clients ask.
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day client contact, managing priorities, timelines and deliverables while bringing solutions—not just status updates.
  • Write and edit compelling materials in distinct client voices, including pitches, press releases, blog posts, newsletters, Linked In content, marketing copy and recap reports.
  • Develop executive visibility and thought leadership programs by identifying and pursuing bylined articles, speaking opportunities, awards, webinars and expert commentary.
  • Help plan and project manage conferences, trade shows, webinars and experiential activations—from creative concepts to budgets, logistics, onsite execution and publicity.
  • Lead creative projects with our design team from brief to final delivery, producing polished, on-brand, client-ready decks, collateral, event elements and digital assets.
  • Guide junior team members, delegate clearly and provide feedback that helps them produce their best work.
  • Lead and contribute to client and agency brainstorms, then help take the strongest ideas from concept to reality.
  • Contribute research, insights and winning ideas to new business efforts.

At LKPR, we live for the placement—the kind of earned media win that gets clients noticed, builds brands and moves the needle. That’s the foundation of this role. But the best ideas don’t stop at the pitch. They grow into standout content, thought leadership platforms, creative campaigns and experiences that bring the bigger idea to life.

You don’t need to have done it all—yet. Bring strong PR chops, curiosity and a make-it-happen mindset. If there’s a way, you’ll find it—and at LKPR, you’ll have the hands‑on opportunity to turn smart ideas into reality while growing into a broader communications leader.

What We’re Looking For
  • Approximately 3–5 years of public relations experience, preferably in an agency environment.
  • A bragworthy portfolio of consumer, trade and/or business media placements.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to master different industries, audiences and brand voices.
  • Strong media instincts and a genuine passion for developing relationships and securing meaningful coverage.
  • Experience managing day-to-day client communications and presenting ideas confidently.
  • Experience overseeing junior account team members, including delegating assignments, managing progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple accounts, deadlines and moving pieces without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfort using AI and emerging tools thoughtfully to strengthen research, brainstorming and productivity while maintaining quality, originality and client confidentiality.
  • A proactive, make-it-happen mindset:
