Assistant Brand ManagerPosition Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Brand Manager to support the day-to-day management of our brands across product development, merchandising, sales, and go-to-market activities. This role serves as a key liaison between Design, Sales, Production, and other cross-functional partners, helping ensure product information, samples, market materials, and brand assets are accurate, organized, and delivered on time.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and interested in building a career in brand management and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:- Support seasonal product development from initial setup through market and production.
- Create and maintain seasonal style, fabric, sample yardage, costing, and development trackers.
- Set up and maintain accurate product information, style details, pricing, and promotional information within PLM and other internal systems.
- Assign and maintain style numbers, color codes, group numbers, and other product information.
- Partner with Design, Production, and Sales to ensure key product information and seasonal deadlines are communicated and maintained.
- Coordinate and track market, photo, advertising, and customer samples across assigned brands.
- Ensure samples are received accurately and on schedule for market appointments, photoshoots, and customer needs.
- Maintain organized sample closets and showrooms, including seasonal sample rotation and tracking.
- Prepare, steam, and organize samples for meetings, market appointments, and photoshoots.
- Coordinate sample requests and shipments for internal teams, licensors, retail partners, vendors, and factories.
- Support seasonal market preparation across assigned brands, ensuring showrooms, samples, catalogs, pricing, and product information are accurate and presentation-ready.
- Maintain product and assortment information within PLM, NuORDER, and other sales platforms.
- Assist with catalogs, swatch packs, account-specific materials, sample requests, and other selling tools.
- Communicate assortment updates, dropped styles, pricing changes, and updated selling materials to appropriate teams.
- Support market appointments and assist with product/model preparation as needed.
- Compile weekly selling reports, seasonal selling recaps, bookings reports, and market analysis to help identify product and account trends.
- Coordinate e-commerce and product photography with Creative Services, including samples, shot lists, scheduling, and model selection.
- Attend photoshoots as needed to assist with styling and ensure products are presented accurately and consistently with the brand.
- Coordinate image selection, retouching feedback, and final image assets.
- Maintain and distribute product imagery and other brand assets in the appropriate specifications for retail partners and digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain product copy, key product features, and account-specific product information in partnership with Design and Technical Design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, product development, brand management, or a related fashion/apparel role.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple brands, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
- Experience with NuORDER is a plus.
- Collaborative, proactive, and willing to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
