Chasen Creative Media is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Coordinator to join our New York City team, supporting a portfolio of leading beauty and lifestyle brands across public relations, influencer marketing, events, and brand activations.
The Account Coordinator is an entry-level member of the account team responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of client programs. This person will work closely with senior account staff across media relations, influencer initiatives, product launches, events, seeding programs, reporting, and client communications.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about beauty, media, pop culture, and the creator landscape and is looking to build a career in PR and influencer marketing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, culturally curious, an excellent communicator, and eager to develop relationships with editors, influencers, and industry contacts.
Key Responsibilities Media Relations & Press- Support day-to-day media relations across assigned client accounts.
- Research and build targeted media lists across beauty, lifestyle, fashion, business, trade, and consumer media.
- Develop an understanding of key editors, writers, freelancers, producers, podcast hosts, and emerging media voices relevant to client categories.
- Draft and distribute targeted media pitches under the direction of senior account staff.
- Assist in drafting press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, award submissions, talking points, and other press materials.
- Proactively monitor editorial trends, cultural moments, breaking news, and industry developments to identify relevant opportunities for clients.
- Coordinate media sample requests, product send-outs, interviews, desk-side appointments, and editor meetings.
- Follow up with media on pitches, product mailings, and client news to help secure coverage and product placements.
- Monitor and track client, competitor, and industry coverage across print, digital, broadcast, social, and emerging platforms.
- Maintain accurate coverage trackers and assist in compiling weekly, monthly, and campaign-specific reports.
- Research and identify relevant influencers, creators, tastemakers, celebrities, and emerging talent for client initiatives.
- Build and maintain targeted influencer and creator lists across Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube, and emerging platforms.
- Support influencer outreach for product seeding, gifting initiatives, events, organic partnerships, and paid campaigns.
- Coordinate product gifting and mailers, including list development, outreach, address collection, shipping, tracking, and follow-up.
- Monitor creator content and social media for client mentions, organic posts, campaign deliverables, and emerging talent.
- Assist with paid influencer campaigns, including outreach, talent research and vetting, deliverable tracking, content approvals, and reporting.
- Stay current on creator trends, emerging platforms, viral moments, and talent relevant to client brands.
- Support senior team members in the day-to-day management and execution of assigned accounts.
- Prepare client call agendas, take detailed meeting notes, and develop clear and actionable recaps.
- Maintain client status documents, timelines, trackers, calendars, media lists, influencer lists, and other working documents.
- Assist with client research, competitive audits, media audits, campaign planning, and strategic presentations.
- Track deadlines and deliverables to help ensure projects remain organized and on schedule.
- Participate in team brainstorms and contribute creative ideas for PR campaigns, influencer programs, partnerships, events, and cultural opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client's brand, products, competitive landscape, goals, and target consumer.
- Support the planning and execution of press events, influencer activations, product launches, editor appointments, VIP experiences, and other brand moments.
- Assist with media and influencer guest list development, invitations, RSVPs, confirmations, and follow-up.
- Support event logistics including product preparation, gifting, shipping, talent coordination, vendor needs, and onsite execution.
- Attend and provide onsite support at client and agency events as needed, including occasional evenings or hours outside the standard workday.
- Coordinate press and influencer product send-outs across assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of samples, gifting, shipments, tracking information, and recipient details.
- Assist with assembling and executing influencer mailers, VIP gifting, press kits, and product launches.
- Work with interns and account teams to ensure products are packed, shipped, and tracked accurately and on deadline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
