Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York
The PR & Executive Communications Manager is the day-to-day evangelist of Made by Gather's culture - the person who deeply understands, lives, and tells MBG's story. This is a hybrid role reporting to the CMO spanning content and operations: owning strategy and content for the Founder's and MBG's corporate social channels, managing MBG's external PR agency as lead coordinator, and acting as a mini chief of staff to the marketing organization by facilitating special projects.
We're looking for someone ambitious and resourceful, with a curious, entrepreneurial mindset - someone who hustles, asks good questions, and takes ownership without needing to be told twice.
- Culture Evangelism & Storytelling: Serve as MBG's culture evangelist - the go-to person, internally and externally, for articulating what makes MBG and its brands distinct.
- Partner across the org to surface and shape stories that reflect MBG's culture, momentum, and point of view.
- Champion internal storytelling that helps employees connect to MBG's mission and progress.
- Founder & Corporate Social Strategy: Own the strategy, content calendar, and voice for the Founder's personal social channels and MBG's corporate channels, with a primary focus on Linked In and Instagram.
- Write, produce, and publish content that builds the Founder's and MBG's public presence and thought leadership.
- Track performance and iterate on content strategy based on engagement and growth.
- PR Agency Management: Serve as lead coordinator and primary point of contact for MBG's external PR agency.
- Set priorities, manage deliverables and timelines, and ensure agency output aligns with MBG's voice, goals, and brand positioning.
- Coordinate press opportunities, interviews, and media moments sourced by the agency.
- Marketing Chief of Staff & Special Projects: Act as a mini chief of staff to the CMO and marketing organization - helping coordinate priorities, timelines, and follow-through across the team.
- Facilitate and drive special projects from kickoff to completion, often working across brand, PR, and executive stakeholders.
- Keep leadership informed and unblocked; anticipate needs before being asked.
- This is an incredibly fun role at a high growth company with a high level of exposure to the executive team and Founder.
- 4-6 years of experience across either social/content, communications, PR, or marketing operations; PR agency-management experience a plus.
- Exceptional writer, capable of capturing a Founder's or brand's authentic voice.
- Strong project management instincts - organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple work streams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful and curious, driven to figure things out rather than wait for direction.
- Ambitious self-starter who hustles and takes ownership.
- High discretion and judgment working directly with senior leadership.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity within a fast-growing, multi-brand company.
- Embraces company culture and leads from the front
