Senior Manager, Public Relations - North America

Summary

The Senior Manager, Public Relations leads integrated PR and event strategies for North America, shaping brand image and supporting RIMOWA collections. This role is both strategic and hands-on, combining media relations, content creation, crisis communications, and full lifecycle event management to drive coverage and retail initiatives.

• Develop and implement integrated public relations and event strategies, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Lead media outreach and relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and key media outlets; pitch stories and manage inbound media queries.
• Create press materials such as press releases, media advisories, pitches, presentations, and fashion show reviews.
• Manage crisis communications and monitor public perception and media coverage, producing regular reports and clippings.
• Oversee U.S. and international editorial sample requests and coordinate with HQ and press offices; optimize sample send-outs with the stockroom.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional, business, and social events; manage vendors, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising and Marketing and lead/mentor PR coordinators and interns.

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive experience in public relations, media relations, and event management, including senior-level responsibilities.
• Experience in luxury goods, travel, or fashion accessory industries preferred; strong crisis communication experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, organizational skills, and budget management.
• Proficiency with media relations tools, social media platforms, and event management software; demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
