The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for executing strategic business development and marketing activities, providing essential support to practice groups, partners, and leadership to drive client outreach, branding, and visibility. This position plays a key role in maintaining marketing collateral, coordinating events, and conducting research to identify opportunities for firm growth and client development.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, update, and distribute marketing materials including brochures, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, presentations, and collateral assets.
- Provide support for business development initiatives such as seminars, webinars, sponsor ships, podcasts, and client/prospect meetings.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target clients to support strategic outreach and positioning efforts.
- Draft and coordinate submissions for directories, awards, and ranking services (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, GCR, GRR).
- Manage and maintain firm databases and tracking systems, including CRM platforms, pitch trackers, collateral libraries, and experience databases.
- Assist with special marketing campaigns and business development projects as needed to enhance firm visibility and client engagement.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing, business development, or related functions within a professional services environment; law firm experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to analyze complex information, synthesize insights, and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborative team-oriented mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
