Position Overview:The Content Strategist
- Associate Director will develop and execute storytelling strategies that elevate thought leadership and market positioning. This role involves managing communications platforms, creating compelling narratives, and leveraging advanced design tools and digital media best practices. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and digital content expert with a passion for innovative corporate communications.
- Associate Director:
- Lead design and execution of thought leadership reports and flagship research, translating complex insights into clear, compelling narratives.
- Own visual storytelling including data visualization, layouts, charts, and modular visual systems.
- Collaborate with researchers and strategists to bring findings to life and shape insight expression.
- Apply strong editorial judgment to structure reports for impact and usability.
- Create diverse content for Substack and Linked In from longer reports.
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice and ensure proper grammar and formatting across content.
- Develop and maintain a brand-style guide to elevate report aesthetics.
- Edit and refine a wide range of content including research reports, articles, case studies, and agency POVs.
- Experiment with cutting-edge technology, including AI and motion graphics, for engaging copy and visuals.
- Create banner images for website and Substack posts.
- Manage Futures' public-facing website, including content publishing, SEO optimization, and analytics.
- Write copy and design marketing content for the website.
- Direct the technology team on site enhancements and content organization.
- Generate short-form content such as blog posts and POVs for Substack.
- Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance on data and image sourcing.
Maintain communication with project researchers and stakeholders. - Bring new content ideas and initiatives to the team.
- Translate complex research, data, and strategic frameworks into clear, compelling infographics, charts, reports, and presentation narratives using advanced PowerPoint, information design, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Associate Director:
- 7-10 years of experience in writing, editing, and design roles; newsroom experience is a plus.
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into concise communication.
- Expertise in social and digital platforms, tools, and best practices for innovative content creation.
- Strong experience in corporate digital communications, including content creation and site management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong client focus and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and good judgment. - Data-minded with skills to edit and write research findings.
- Strategic learner able to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong project, time, and organizational management skills.
- Proven ability to operate strategically and tactically in high-energy environments.
- Associate Director:
- Experience with newsroom or editorial environments.
- Advanced skills in digital content strategy and visual storytelling.

- Ability to develop brand-style guides and maintain consistent content aesthetics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
