The Consumer & Food Brands team at The Brand Guild partners with some of the most exciting, culture-shaping brands in the country—from beloved national food favorites to design-driven consumer brands defining what’s buzzy now. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Vice President of Public Relations to lead a dynamic portfolio of brands and help shape the future of our consumer practice.
This is a senior leadership role for someone with 10+ years of PR agency experience, deep category expertise across consumer and F&B, and a passion for building standout brand narratives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a collaborative partner, and an inspiring leader who brings both creativity and rigor to the work. Note:
This position is based in The Brand Guild’s NYC office with 3 days/week in-office.

- Lead integrated communications strategy for a portfolio of food, beverage, and consumer lifestyle brands—driving visibility, cultural relevance, and business impact
- Serve as senior strategic counsel to clients, shaping narratives, anticipating challenges, and guiding long-term planning
- Build and nurture top-tier media relationships across consumer, lifestyle, food, design, business, and trade categories
- Oversee development of proactive media outreach plans, story mining, pitch strategy, and press moments that break through
- Concept and drive press worthy campaigns, partnerships, and brand moments that earn attention and cultural relevance
- Analyze media performance and translate it into strategic insights that inform future campaigns
- Partner closely with Marketing, Events, Social, and Creative teams to deliver integrated brand moments
- Oversee and develop a high-performing PR team, setting vision, mentoring talent, and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and results
- Contribute to leadership conversations around team growth, resourcing, process, and best practices
- Support new business efforts as needed, including strategy development and pitch participation
- 10+ years of PR agency experience working across consumer categories; deep experience in food, beverage, and CPG strongly preferred
- A track record of delivering press results that move the needle for consumer and F&B brands
- Strong relationships with editors, writers, and producers across lifestyle, consumer, business, design, food, and trade media
- Experience overseeing a mix of accounts, budgets, direct reports, and cross-functional work streams
- Ability to translate cultural insights into compelling brand storytelling
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
