The Senior Director of Social Media & Digital Strategy is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role leads the development and execution of comprehensive social media and digital strategies across platforms, ensuring alignment with client branding, marketing, and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing social media campaigns, managing content calendars, guiding social media optimization efforts, and analyzing performance metrics to refine strategy.
The Senior Director collaborates closely with PR, marketing, and account teams to integrate digital initiatives with broader communications plans, and provides leadership, mentorship, and direction to digital staff and external partners. The role also includes client-facing responsibilities such as presenting strategic recommendations, reporting on results, and identifying opportunities for innovation in digital engagement.
This position requires mandatory time in our New York City office, with additional hybrid remote days each week. Senior leaders are expected to be in the office four days a week to collaborate closely with the executive team.
Salary: $120k to $140k depending on experience
Qualifications- Strong social media marketing and social media optimization (SMO) skills, including experience planning and executing multi-platform campaigns.
- Excellent communication and public relations abilities, with a track record of client management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Expertise in content strategy, including audience analysis, platform-specific content planning, and performance-driven optimization.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, mentoring talent, and overseeing complex digital projects or agency accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret analytics, use social media management tools, and make data-informed strategic recommendations.
- Experience in communications, marketing, or PR within sectors such as real estate, design, construction, or non-profit is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
