Digital, Editorial & Web Content Manager

Overview

VNS Health is looking for a Digital Editorial & Web Content Manager to lead content strategy, planning, execution, and governance for our enterprise website and other public-facing digital properties. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll shape digital content for both consumer and professional audiences across VNS Health, partnering with marketing team members, business stakeholders, and external agency partners to turn organizational priorities and audience needs into compelling, discoverable, and effective content.

• Lead digital content strategy, planning, and prioritization across public-facing websites.
• Oversee content from initial brief through development, review, approval, and publication.
• Partner with SEO/GEO lead and agency partners to improve the visibility and discoverability of VNS Health services across traditional and AI-powered search.
• Establish editorial standards and governance to ensure content is accurate, accessible, current, and aligned with brand and regulatory requirements.
• Use data, AI tools, and automation to improve content quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Manage content agencies, freelancers, vendors, project deliverables, and budgets.
• Collaborate across teams to keep multiple content priorities moving from strategy through execution

• We’re looking for a digital content leader—not just a writer. You know how to build a strategy, turn it into an actionable plan, guide agency and content partners, and successfully manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Experience in healthcare along with a strong understanding of digital content, editorial best practices, and SEO is required; health plans, pharma, or another regulated industry experience is especially valuable.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline required
Work Experience:
Minimum five years of progressive experience in content strategy, digital content development, website content management, editorial operations, or related discipline required
Strong writing, editing, content planning, and editorial leadership skills required

Experience with content management systems, website publishing platforms, and digital content best practices required
Experience developing content for both consumer and business/professional (referrer) audiences required
Experience managing agency and freelancer relationships, including scopes of work, budgets, and vendor performance required
Experience leveraging AI writing, content automation, or analytics tools to improve content effectiveness and operational efficiency preferred

Experience with healthcare required; home-based care, nonprofit, or health care organizations preferred
Experience with project management tools (e.g., ) preferred
