AWS Global Executive Marketing (GEM) is responsible for how AWS engages its most senior customer leaders. We design and deliver the strategy, programs, and experiences that build trusted relationships with C-suite executives and shape how they perceive, evaluate, and partner with AWS. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who can operate across the full breadth of executive marketing: strategy, programs, content, and engagement.
This is not a single-lane role. You will work across teams, initiatives, and work streams, bringing structure to ambiguity and driving high-impact outcomes in a fast-moving environment. The right candidate is a versatile senior marketer who can think strategically, execute at pace, and move fluidly between building a messaging framework and running an executive engagement. This role requires someone who is comfortable engaging with senior customer executives and AWS leaders, can translate business context into marketing strategy, and brings a builder mentality to everything they do.
You will operate with significant autonomy, exercise judgment on prioritization and tradeoffs, and contribute to shaping how AWS shows up to its most important audience.
- Drive strategic initiatives across Global Executive Marketing, from scoping and planning through execution and measurement, with limited direction.
- Partner with program leads, account teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and deliver executive engagement experiences that advance customer relationships and business outcomes.
- Translate customer and market insight into actionable marketing strategy: messaging, content, targeting, and channel recommendations tailored to executive audiences.
- Conduct customer and market research (business priorities, industry trends, competitive landscape) to inform engagement design, messaging, and program strategy.
- Develop and refine frameworks, playbooks, and operating processes that help the team scale quality and consistency across programs and channels.
- Define and track success metrics that reflect the value of executive engagement: relationship depth, buying group coverage, influence, and business impact, not just volume.
- Coordinate across marketing, sales, communications, and partner teams to ensure executive programs are connected to the broader AWS go-to-market motion.
- Contribute to the executive messaging framework and ensure consistency of narrative across touchpoints.
- Operate as a trusted engagement lead for senior customer executives when required, managing preparation, facilitation, and follow-through.
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, executive marketing, account-based marketing, or a related strategic marketing function.
- Experience designing and delivering marketing programs or engagements for senior executive audiences (VP+ or C-suite).
- Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and communications in a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Experience in technology or cloud industry marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business or technology concepts into clear, executive-relevant positioning.
- Experience with executive briefing programs, advisory boards, or executive event formats.
- Track record of building repeatable frameworks or processes in a scaling organization.
- Strong business acumen: comfortable reading earnings calls, 10-Ks, and industry analysis to inform strategy.
- Experience with marketing measurement beyond lead generation: influence,…
