Dow Jones Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience designed to give students real exposure to how . Our interns work on meaningful projects alongside our teams, gaining hands‑on skills that make an impact on the business. We believe the best way to learn is by doing — that’s why you’ll be paired with a mentor, connected with senior leaders, and included in professional development sessions.
You’ll also join a diverse global intern community, sharing experiences and building networks that last beyond the program. Our goal is to provide a supportive, engaging, and fun environment where your work feels valued and your growth comes first.
We’re seeking a Brand Design Intern to join our Marketing team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help create new brand identities and support cohesive design experiences across digital, print, and spatial touchpoints. You’ll work with senior designers on projects spanning multiple brands—including The Wall Street Journal, WSJ Events, Market Watch, Barron’s, IBD, and other Dow Jones companies. This role is ideal for someone resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
You’ll gain exposure to high‑visibility projects while also rolling up your sleeves on the essential day‑to‑day tasks that keep brand systems running.
As a Brand Design Intern, you will:
- Assist in creating new brand identities from the ground up (logos, color palettes, typography, art direction) and brand guides, mood boards, and toolkits to communicate with stakeholders, partners, and brand ambassadors.
- Support senior designers on projects that deliver full brand experiences, including:
Visual concepts and mockups Digital and media assets (emails, ads, landing pages, digital signage, social graphics campaign collateral, podcast art) Print and spatial applications (event materials, invitations, onsite design recommendations) Help build and maintain design systems (typography, composition, hierarchy, color theory, etc.) in Figma, including templates, guidelines, and scalable components. - Collaborate across teams to ensure design consistency across multiple channels and formats.
- Conduct competitive research to spot trends, best practices, and opportunities for brand differentiation.
- Translate research findings into clear insights that guide creative strategy.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of digital design principles and fundamentals;
Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite). - Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce polished, professional work.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
- Resourceful, self‑driven, and proactive—able to ask the right questions and seek solutions independently.
- Open to feedback and eager to learn.
- Some knowledge of UI/UX, animation, or print is a plus, but not required.
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program
- Graduating in Dec 2027 – July 2029 (U.S.)
- Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.
