Location: New York

Serve as the day-to-day global communications lead for Global Wealth & Retirement s role is responsible for driving global messaging, leading media relations, and overseeing conference communications strategy to enhance the visibility and positioning of the business.

The individual will partner closely with regional communications teams to ensure alignment and consistency across markets, while serving as a trusted advisor to the business. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the global wealth and retirement space, with established relationships across top-tier, emerging, and industry-specific media, as well as the global wealth and retirement conference circuit.

Primary Responsibilities Media Relations / External Engagement
  • Serve as the central global point of contact for all Global Wealth & Retirement media relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mainstream media, wealth and retirement trade press, and emerging channels including influencer and digital-first platforms
  • Drive proactive and reactive media engagement to elevate the platform
  • Develop messaging, talking points, and press materials; manage inbound inquiries and interview opportunities
  • Own and evolve the Global Wealth & Retirement messaging framework, aligned with firmwide priorities
  • Translate business strategy into clear, differentiated external positioning
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across regions and channels
Conference & Events Strategy
  • Lead communications strategy for the global wealth and retirement conference circuit, including identifying priority events and speaking opportunities
  • Leverage relationships to enhance visibility at key industry conferences
  • Oversee end-to-end execution, messaging, and speaker prep for external engagements
Global Coordination
  • Partner with regional communications teams (Americas, EMEA, APAC) to align on Global Wealth & Retirement communications
  • Ensure consistent global execution with appropriate regional nuance
Crisis & Issues Management
  • Support and lead crisis communications and issues management
  • Advise leadership on reputational risk and response strategies
Requirements Education & Certificates Professional Experience
  • 10+ years of overall relevant experience, required
  • Experience in corporate communications or media relations within global wealth, retirement, or asset management, required
  • Deep understanding of the global wealth and retirement landscape
  • Established relationships across top-tier media, wealth and retirement trade press, and emerging/influencer media
  • Strong connectivity across the global wealth and retirement conference circuit
  • Proven crisis and issues management experience
  • Experience working across global teams in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Experience working in or with alternative asset managers
  • Self-starter, innovative and independent with strong follow-through skills
  • High levels of discretion and sound judgment
  • Ability to juggle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player and highly collaborative; willing to jump in and support when needed
  • Executive presence and experience working with senior leadership; ability to advise senior stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly build credibility with investment professionals and senior stakeholders
  • Deep experience operating across a wide range of communications disciplines, including media relations, executive communications, and issues management
  • Highly collaborative and able to influence across regions

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $220,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
