Job Summary
The Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications supports the strategy, development, and execution of a broad communications portfolio across internal and external channels.
Essential Functions- External Corporate Communications:
Draft/review/secure approval of messaging and materials (press releases, social posts, bylined articles/Q&A, thought leadership, multimedia, factsheets, website content). Support corporate/data/regulatory newsflow. Manage day-to-day corporate website updates. Collaborate on brand messaging/imagery for meetings, booths/sponsor ships, patient advocacy, and corporate events. Work with PR and website vendor partners. Handle ad-hoc requests (materials development, benchmarking, performance metrics, media monitoring, social listening). - Investor Relations/Financial Communications:
Support quarterly earnings materials (press release, script, Q&A, deck, live call). Support financial communications (investor outreach notes, banking conference presentations). Assist with corporate presentation updates. Maintain IR database entries for Street meetings. Liaise with IR vendor partners. Handle ad-hoc benchmarking/research. - Internal Communications:
Manage intranet updates; draft and review intranet posts. Create graphics and publish intranet posts. Support townhalls/internal events. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives. - Project Leadership:
Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision; join/lead calls; coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely delivery.
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional writing/editing; project management/organization; relationship building; strategic communications understanding; professionalism with senior leaders; resourcefulness; familiarity with communications analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field (preferred).
- 5–8 years in corporate/internal communications, PR, media, or financial communications (biotech/pharma and/or life science/healthcare clients/agencies).
- Late-stage and/or commercial biopharmaceutical communications (preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, website/intranet, Canva/graphic design, newswire, and social media.
