** Unity is searching for an Audience Insight Lead to build our audience insight capability from the ground up - turning research, product data, and social listening into the kind of clear, confident answers that change real business decisions. You will set the methodology, choose the research partners, and become the directional lead senior leaders turn to when they want to know what our audiences really think.

** What you'll be doing
*** Responsible for leading Unity's audience insight capability end to end, including a continuous research program
* Select and manage external research vendors, including ownership of the associated budget
* Set the methodology and precision standards required before any research is commissioned
* Own Unity's standing perception tracking study and the metrics we use to measure developer and customer goodwill, understanding of strategy, and internal trust
* Bring together research, product usage data, and social listening into a single, coherent set of insights
* Build the frameworks and measures Unity uses to track audience sentiment
* Present findings and recommendations directly to senior leadership, including perspectives that challenge existing assumptions##
** What we're looking for
*** Effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations
* Experience with brand and research methodology
* Enthusiasm for using AI tools as a core part of your day-to-day analysis and workflow
* An inquisitive, curious approach to understanding what people actually need to know
* Comfort presenting insights and recommendations directly to senior leaders, including views that may challenge prevailing assumptions##
** You might also have
*** Experience commissioning or managing brand or perception tracking studies
* Familiarity with social listening or community sentiment tools
* Experience building a small team or mentoring others in a research or insights function

Base Salary Range:
We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location:

Zone A: $139,400 - $209,000 USD gross

Zone B: $157,500 - $236,300 USD gross

Zone C: $177,000 - $265,400 USD gross  
* This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
