Apply is a Brooklyn-based creative studio that makes extraordinary stickers. We’re obsessed with their creative & commercial potential, enabling anyone to personalize the things they love & use every day. We’re reimagining this loved global product category with our exceptional design team, alongside iconic licensing partners – from Andy Warhol to Snoopy.
Our stickers are sold in world-class cultural institutions & independent retailers globally — MoMA, The Strand, REI, Blick, among hundreds of others. On Faire, the leading wholesale marketplace, we hold a 5-star rating across 100+ reviews!
We've spent the last five years building something special: a profitable brand with wholesale credibility, an exceptional team, and a product people love. Now we're shifting focus to our DTC business and cultivating community directly. The Marketing Manager will translate our brand into content that drives engagement and community, building a healthy DTC channel alongside our thriving wholesale business.
Opportunity Overview:You’ll work directly alongside our Creative Director in our Dumbo Studio, building our direct-to-consumer channel from a strong foundation: a magnetic physical space, deep partnerships with loved artists & cultural institutions, and a brand that’s earned its place in the world.
Together you’ll translate Apply’s brand vision into a content strategy across channels — developing the content calendar end-to-end, planning & producing content in partnership with our creative team & partners, and continuously testing, learning, and refining your approach based on what’s working. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of visual acuity (can spot a hero image in a photo dump);
an ear for great copy (knows how to make a caption hit); and operational excellence (highly organized & effective at cross‑functional creative collaboration).
- Develop and execute Apply’s content calendar across e-comm & social: setting the strategic priorities each week; managing content production; evaluating performance with a metrics‑native approach; and iterating as we learn.
- Partner with our creative team to produce engaging social content with a focus on core brand messages & repeatable franchises. Manage engagements with freelance & influencer talent to complement in‑house content production.
- Write copy for e-comm & social; manage community conversations (DM’s, comments) with sensitivity to brand voice.
- Understand brand guidelines of licensors & draft campaigns for their/Creative Director approvals.
- Produce campaigns that encourage UGC (user‑generated content), referrals, and repeat engagement.
- Track & report on engagement metrics, identifying insights to grow community reach.
- Leverage our credibility with artists, studios, museums, and independent retailers to grow audience through collaborative content and cross‑promotions.
- Experience in brand marketing & content production. Candidates will be evaluated first & foremost on their creative portfolio (ex: social media marketing, art direction, editorial & UGC campaigns, graphic design, and copywriting).
- A genuine, unerring eye for visual culture — able to both identify & shape strong creative even where you aren’t the one making it, as well as able to produce great creative yourself when needed (can take a grid-worthy product or editorial image in a pinch).
- Track record of building or growing a community (Digital + IRL) on any platform, in any format; we care more about the instincts & methods used than the channel or the ultimate audience/growth metrics.
- Strong copywriting instincts — you can shift between caption, email, e-comm copy with a strong sense of brand voice.
- Comfortable operating as both strategist & executor; this…
