Freelance Strategy Director

This is a six-week booking to work across two live, confidential brand-architecture projects at one of the most recognised independent brand and digital studios working today.

The studio’s recent portfolio includes global rebrands for some of the largest technology and consumer companies in the world – the kind of complex, multi-market brand systems most agencies never get close to. The work here is under NDA, but the shape of it is clear, and you’re in from the start: shaping architecture, positioning and propositions while the direction is still open.

You’ll lead strategic development across two concurrent brand projects, working alongside the Senior Strategy Director to bring rigour to two genuinely different challenges t means defining brand architecture and portfolio structure, synthesising business, audience and cultural insight into strategy people can act on, and presenting your thinking directly to senior clients.

You’ll move between big-picture vision and the detail of how strategy translates into creative direction. The two briefs are distinct enough to stretch your range inside a single engagement.

$1,000 – $1,100 per day

Studio environment built around collaboration between strategy & design

You’re an experienced Strategy Director or Associate Strategy Director from a strong brand, design or creative agency. You have real depth in brand architecture, across positioning, portfolios, propositions, and you’re used to working shoulder-to-shoulder with creative teams rather than in isolation.

You can pick up an ambiguous, confidential brief, get to grips with it fast, and present clearly to senior clients. Experience working on projects focused around sport, female audiences or the wider culture space is a plus, not a requirement.
