Summer Internship- Marketing, HarperCollins Children’s Books; NYC)

Overview

Harper Collins Children’s Books is seeking a creative, organized, and dynamic Marketing Intern to provide support for the children’s marketing teams working across books for ages 0-18. The role requires a detail-oriented and creative individual, able to multi-task and set priorities. We’re a dedicated and enthusiastic team looking for a fellow savvy digital marketer to join us!

• Develop a working understanding of the teams and tasks involved in the publication of Harper Collins Children’s books
• Learn important publishing software programs and use them to assist in administrative tasks and other departmental functions
• Write marketing copy for social media posts, blog posts, and other digital content for the Harper Kids and/or Epic Reads brands
• Participate in photoshoots and content brainstorms with marketing and social media teams
• Assist with creation of designed graphics, videos, and other digital assets for marketing campaigns and social media promotion
• Coordinate marketing mailings for buzz building campaigns to influencers

• Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday – Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
• Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.

• Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
• A passion for books is highly valued!
  
  All book lovers are welcome, but a strong familiarity with the children’s book market is a plus.
• Proactive, creative, and attentive to detail
• Excellent writing skills, including ability to write in a voice appealing to consumers and consistent with Harper Kids and/or Epic Reads brand
• Experience in content creation and knowledge of social media trends, particularly on Instagram and Tik Tok
• Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills a must
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of platforms including Canva, Word Press, and Photoshop a plus!
