Events & Communications Manager

As Events & Communications Manager, you will lead the planning, promotion, and delivery of in-store events and press activity for a new tm:rw store. You'll build relationships with press, media, and brand partners, positioning tm:rw as a must-visit cultural and retail destination in the local market. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, brand-new environment and can build a store's public profile from the ground up.

• Plan, budget, and deliver a calendar of in-store events, brand activations, and launch experiences
• Manage end-to-end event logistics, including vendor sourcing, venue setup, and on-the-day execution
• Collaborate with brand partners to develop co-branded event concepts aligned with tm:rw's positioning
• Coordinate with the global events calendar to align local activity with wider brand moments

• Develop and execute PR strategies to build local media coverage and drive footfall
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and local media outlets
• Draft press releases, media kits, and briefing documents
• Manage press visits, media days, and influencer previews
• Monitor press coverage and compile reporting on PR impact

• Act as the key point of contact for brand partners on event and PR matters
• Work closely with the store management team to ensure events run smoothly and reflect tm:rw's brand standards
• Liaise with the HQ marketing team on messaging, brand guidelines, and campaign alignment

• Proven experience in events management and/or PR, ideally within retail, hospitality, or experiential marketing
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with press, brand partners, and senior stakeholders
• Highly organised, proactive, and calm under pressure — especially around store opening timelines
• Passion for technology, lifestyle, and retail innovation
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends around events as required
