Do you want to help shape the visibility, reputation, and cultural relevance of one of the world's most iconic luxury audio brands?
We are looking for a highly connected, culturally curious and strategic PR, Influence and Communications leader who understands how luxury brands build reputation, desirability and relevance through earned media, influence, social conversation and cultural connections.
As PR & Influence Manager, North America, you will join our Marketing & PR team in New York and lead the PR, earned media and influence strategy across the US and Canada.
This role is critical as we continue our journey to establish Bang & Olufsen as the leading global luxury audio brand, increasing awareness, strengthening brand reputation and desirability, and supporting key commercial and cultural moments across North America (US and Canada).
Beyond traditional PR, you will help shape how the Bang & Olufsen shows up locally though influence, cultural partnerships, talent relationships, and relevant brand experiences.
This PR & Influence Manager works closely with our Global PR and marketing teams based in Denmark, as well as cross-functional teams across North America.
The role reports to the Head of Marketing & PR, US East & Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the North America PR, influence and communications strategy, driving high-quality earned media, share of voice, brand reputation and Bang & Olufsen’s luxury positioning.
- Build, nurture and activate strong relationships with journalists, editors, media, tastemakers, creators, and influential voices across luxury, music, design, lifestyle, technology, architecture, art and culture.
- Develop compelling storytelling around the brand, products, corporate news, partnerships and key brand moments.
- Lead the local influence and cultural strategy, acting as a cultural radar for the business and identifying relevant creators, talent, partnerships, communities and moments that strengthen visibility, credibility and cultural relevance.
- Manage the external PR agency and product seeding program, setting clear priorities, targets, and performance expectations across media outreach, pitch angles, reviews, gifting, placements, and reporting.
- Own the North America communications calendar, ensuring consistent and locally relevant messaging across earned, influence and organic social channels in alignment with global brand strategy.
- Partner with Marketing and global teams to shape the organic social and community approach for our market, identifying locally relevant stories and moments that extend earned and cultural impact.
- Support corporate and executive communications in North America, including leadership messaging, interviews, speaking opportunities, briefing materials, Q&A preparation, and reputation-sensitive communications.
- Partner closely with Retail and Sales teams to integrate communications into store openings, product launches, client moments, events and priority commercial initiatives, ensuring activity supports both brand-building and business objectives.
- Lead measurement and reporting across PR, influence and communications, establishing clear KPIs and translating performance into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Manage the communications budget with strong commercial discipline, prioritizing resources against the highest-impact brand and business opportunities.
- Monitor emerging issues and reputational risks, escalating appropriately and supporting coordinated communications responses with local and global leadership.
What you bring

You have an established network across media and ideally within the broader luxury ecosystem, and you know how to build trusted relationship with journalists, editors, tastemakers, and influential voices.
Moreover, you bring:
- 7+ years of experience in PR, communications, ideally within luxury, fashion, design, lifestyle, or hospitality – but not limited to.
- A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- A strong existing network across North America media, with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influential industry contacts
