Mojo is looking for a Strategy Director, Social to lead the strategic thinking behind some of our most important social-first client relationships.

This is a senior strategy role for someone who understands how brands are built in culture and on the internet. Deep social fluency and proven experience leading platform-native, always-on, campaign and reactive social work are essential.

You’ll serve as the strategic hub of an account or piece of business, connecting business objectives, brand strategy, audience behavior, culture and platform dynamics into a clear vision for how the brand wins in social. You’ll build the longer-term strategic architecture behind the work, partner closely with Creative and Account leadership, and serve as a trusted strategic authority with clients.

• Own the strategy for a major social-first account or piece of business, setting the strategic direction across always-on, campaigns, creators, community and reactive work.
• Build and steward an enduring social platform that connects long-term brand building with how the brand shows up day to day.
• Define platform roles, audiences, content territories and cultural opportunities that give the brand a clear and distinctive presence in social.
• Lead major briefs, strategic recommendations and planning, translating business and audience insight into strong creative springboards.
• Identify proactive and reactive opportunities rooted in culture, community and platform behavior, helping teams know when and how a brand should participate.
• Serve as the strategic voice in creative reviews, partnering with Creative leadership to challenge, sharpen and help sell the work.
• Build trusted relationships with senior clients, bringing a strong POV and identifying opportunities to deepen and grow the business.
• Use social listening, community intelligence and performance data to continuously evolve the strategy and improve the work.
• Mentor and develop strategists, setting a high bar for strategic craft and social fluency.
• Lead strategic thinking in new business and contribute to the continued evolution of Mojo’s Strategy discipline.

• Approximately 7–10+ years of strategy experience, with significant depth in social-first, digital-first or culturally driven environments.
• A proven track record leading always-on and reactive social strategy for major brands is required.
• Deep fluency across major social platforms and a strong understanding of how people, communities and creators behave within them.
• Experience building longer-term social strategies or platforms that connect campaigns, everyday content, creators, community and cultural participation.
• Strong brand and communications strategy fundamentals, with social as a core area of expertise.
• Strong cultural judgment and the ability to distinguish meaningful opportunities from trend chasing.
• A track record of turning insight into strategic direction that leads to stronger creative work.
• Experience leading senior client conversations and influencing stakeholders with a clear strategic point of view.
• Fluency in social listening, audience research, performance data and measurement.
• Experience mentoring or managing strategists and elevating the quality of thinking around you.
