This position is located in the Social Media Section of the Outreach Division in the Department of Global Communications. The Department of Global Communications is responsible for informing the public, civil society and Member States with trusted information and communicating the UN story around the world through its global networks and United Nations Information Centres and Services. The Social Media Section is responsible for devising, implementing and managing the multilingual social media strategy of the Department, in line with its overall communications guidance, priorities and messaging and as guided by administrative policies on the institutional use of social media.
The incumbent will report to the Head of the Social Media Section.
