Product Marketing and Strategy Intern

Position: Product Marketing and Strategy Intern 2027
Location: Yorktown Heights

** Introduction*
* We're looking for a Product Marketing Intern to help make quantum computing tangible for people who've never touched a qubit, and to make it obvious why our approach stands apart.

You'll work with product, research, and sales teams to build demos that don't just explain what our platform does, but sharpen the story of what makes it different and better in a crowded, fast-moving market.

** Your role and responsibilities*
* Help build and maintain competitive demo environments that showcase IBM Quantum's strengths in market. In particular with focus on exhibiting IBM Quantum in various cloud environments in order to showcase its ability to integrate in hybrid environments with classical development in a seamless fashion.

Translate technical differentiators into demo narratives that stick, creating moments where the audience "gets it" without needing a comparison chart

Partner with research/engineering teams to identify which results are most demo-worthy and where our platform shows its best side

Create supporting materials, including demo scripts, one-pagers, and FAQs, that subtly reinforce our positioning in the market

Monitor how technical audiences react to competing demos or announcements at industry events, and feed that insight back into how we shape our own

Gather feedback from prospects and partners to continuously sharpen what resonates and what falls flat

** Required technical and professional expertise*
* * Currently pursuing a degree in physics, computer science, engineering, marketing, or a related field

* Basic familiarity with quantum computing concepts (qubits, superposition, entanglement, gates)

* Strong written communication skills

* Curiosity about the broader quantum computing landscape, including who's building what and how the market is evolving

** Preferred technical and professional experience*
* * Comfortable with Python; exposure to Qiskit or similar frameworks is a plus

* Experience with AWS and Aszue classical development environments is a plus

* Familiarity with the general landscape of quantum computing providers and their approaches (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic, etc.)

* Interest in how technical products get positioned and sold in enterprise or research markets
